Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, and also a UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began with her debut as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina continued her career by winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won the fight via unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
